With respect to the topic of panel discussion “Lifestyle for effective management of solid waste and liquid waste”, her family and company members have imbibed several lifestyle changes over the last decade and a half. Some of these are shared in an article titled “Micro habitats on Urban Balconies” as a part of a published book “Civic Ecology – Stories About Love of Life, Love of Place” by Cornell University in 2015[1]. The self-initiated endeavour was started for a common love of birds after Sparrow was announced as State Bird of Delhi in 2012. In the last decade, from about 2 broods of sparrows reared in our balconies every year, the numbers have risen to almost 6-8 broods per year. In addition, the household practices include 100% composting of organic kitchen waste, 100% reuse of RO waste water, 100% reuse of old clothes & woollens and even collecting & giving the daily hair fall for commercial use. Like every other typical Indian household, the papers, cardboard, plastics, glass and metals are collected and find their way to the informal recycling sector. The expired medicines, blood sugar strips and other biomedical waste is collected in a small packet and handed over to her dentist friend , who has a BMW authorization. The small e-waste is dropped into a bin available at MOEF&CC, New Delhi or and the larger ones are picked by e-waste recyclers. Only problem is with the used AA and AAA batteries, which have been collected and kept but no proper channel for safe disposal could be identified. Use of metro or cycle or electric scooter despite having a CNG car is preferred by all in her home and office. The next step in the families endeavor to reduce their ecological footprint will be to install solar panels on roof top.

When PCS Clean Air was founded in 2009 by Lia van de Vorle, one thing was very important: we don’t want to contribute to more pollution. After years of development, we crafted a revolutionary patented technology, specially designed to eliminate particulate matter without disposables, such as filters.

With Expertise

PCS is in collaboration with ENS Clean Air, which was founded in 2009, by Late Mrs. Lia Van de Vorle, along with her husband Late Mr. Peter Van de Vorle. ENS originally started as a pioneer in the field of infection prevention. When infection with the MRSA bacteria was discovered in many people, the question arose how the spread of the bacteria could be stopped. Mrs. Lia van de Vorle had the solution: clean air. After years of development, ENS then developed a revolutionary patented technology, specially designed to eliminate particulate matter without disposables, such as filters.

Over the years, ENS have grown into a experts in the field of air quality with a special focus on air flows and particulate matter.

With Confidence

With the knowledge and experience of ENS & PCS, PCS can provide custom advice and solutions for various environments. We guide and inspire our customers by realizing visions, strategies and projects in an innovative way.

With Passion

We originally started as a pioneer in the field of infection prevention. When infection with the MRSA bacteria was discovered in many people, the question arose how the spread of the bacteria could be stopped. Lia van de Vorle had the solution: clean air. Shortly after, she founded PCS. With heart and mind she dedicated herself to the mission of making clean air available to everyone. Now Lia’s daughters are continuing her legacy with the same passion and drive.

The Origin

PCS was formed after a deep thinking, analysis and research conducted by Mr. Pavitra Anand. Looking at the Pollution levels in India due to the increasing industries, vehicles, power plants etc; it is imperative, to address the situation for the improvement of air quality. It was then researched and identified that the PM (Particulate Matter) levels have been a large contributor for the pollution of air apart from gases.

In pursuit for the right innovative technology our search ended at ENS (Environment Nano Solutions), a Dutch company primarily in R&D.

Founded by Late Mrs. Lia Van de Vorle and late Mr. Peter Van de Vorle, an innovative family driven organisation, in collaboration with the Dutch universities invented the Positive Ionisation machine namely “AUFERO” which has been extensively tested around the world and certified by several institutions.
